POPPINS

In the POPPINS collection a visual illusion has been created using
the upholstery as if many different pillows laid on the bench

The inspiration comes from the Optical Art method in which the impression of three-dimension is given through a definite combination of colours and geometric shapes. The padding, after being  fragmented,  is positioned just where is necessary, protruding from a wooden surface.     

Its dynamic effect and an accentuated vibration of colours is given by the three-dimensionallity and slightly deforming its shapes. The cushions become an integral part of the structure increasing the seat comfort and represent the aesthetic value of the project.        Seflproduction 2013           www.alessandrabaldereschi.com
